The short version – of which I’ll fill more in later – is that I’m a 30-something PHP developer. I started programming in 1981, age 11, and via Z80a, BASIC, 6502, Pascal, C, 8086, C++ and Perl (and probably a couple more I’ve forgotten). I started programming with PHP in about 1998, and have been honing my skills in that (and other, related technologies, like Linux and MySQL, among others), by way of interests in other languages and software engineering practices ever since.
A warning for bad developers – in any computer language – that don’t make serious efforts to continually improve. You’re going to hate this blog, because I’m going to keep going on about all the things you want to ignore, like doing this the right way, even if you think it slows your development down. I’m going to keep on with learning, and sharing because I’m right, and you are an ignorant fuckwit – I’m not sorry, but it’s true, and it’s your own fault.
If you aren’t ignorant, or a fuckwit, then you’re very welcome to stick around, and try and teach me something new – in the meantime I’ll be throwing ideas out to you all. I’ve got to say though – it won’t be easy, I’ve been reading, and learning for well over a decade.
